Have you ever tried to take a picture of a barn swallow? I do love the little things, but they are fast. It's so fun to watch them fly behind the mower and swoop down, back and forth, catching bugs. But this is what I get when I try to take their picture. See it there? That little black speck to the right?
Here's another one. As soon as they see me they take flight and won't sit still.
The nests are really cool. There are about a dozen nests in our main barn. That stringy stuff hanging from the next is horse hair.
At least the sparrows cooperated.
