Wow. I've been so lucky to be mentioned on Cratzine for the lollipop covers and Whip Up for yesterday's felt post. Thank you to Natalie Zee Drieu, the associate editor of Craftzine, and Julie from Whip Up and Booga J.
I want to clarify regarding yesterday's entry that I'm not a felt snob and think that acrylic felt has it's place in the craft world. I have a huge tub full of it here for various projects. I also forgot to mention something that Pam brought up in the comments of the last post. Wetting and machine drying wool blends (at least the National Nonwovens, which I use and really like) gives it the look of boiled wool. Boiled wool is soft and loftier (is that a word?). National Nonwovens calls it Sherpa-like. It looks just like this.
I also was invited to join The Fabric Flower Pool at Flickr. Blair Peter is the genius behind some lovely fabric flowers. I've wanted to make these since she posted her tutorial last March, but hadn't worked up the nerve until now. These go together so quick and I love them!! I used denim for the back, which curled nicely a bit at the edges. Thank you for the tutorial, Blair!
