About Me

Bio

I've had a camera in my hands since a trip to the Herbert Hoover Museum in grade school.  I started as a paid photographer when hired as a newspaper reporter in 1990 after graduating from Truman State University.  I live on the family farm in southeast Iowa, the backdrop for many of my sessions.

Why Old School Acres?

Our house is an old school in the middle of the family farm we inherited from my husband's great-grandmother. The school was called Fairview School and it was moved to the farm when "Gram" and "Pap" were married to be their family home.  Now I use the farm as the backdrop for many of the photos take.  I hope you'll also invite me to a place special to you to make memories that you can preserve for a lifetime.

Work with Me

I also shoot newborns, tweens/teens, equine, and events.  I'd love to collaborate with you!
